Lost Restaurants Of Downtown Cleveland

Stouffer's Top Of The Town was in Erieview Tower. It was part of Stouffer's "Top Of..." restaurants that started in the 1956 with Top of the Rock in the Prudential Building in Chicago. Eventually there were sixteen “Top” restaurants the company opened across the country.

Memories:

J.H. Flora sent this memory: "This restaurant was in the top floor of Erieview Tower and had a magnificent view of the city and the lake. My favorite memory was an evening in the mid 1980's when we celebrated a wedding anniversary. We had Caesar salad prepared tableside and spent the evening watching airplanes heading toward Cleveland Hopkins Airport. They would come in over the lake, turn over downtown and head straight toward the cluster of lights on the western horizon that was the airport."(June 12, 2018)
